well today i was in my spanish class and my teacher said i looked especially tired today. i told her that i didnt sleep much last night and since i was wearing contacts today it made it even more noticeable. also everyone in my family has pretty bad bags under their eyes. but my teacher told me that hemorrhoid cream will totally make them go away... "Just think of what it does to a hemorrhoid"... so yeah... does it really work? haha because i HATE these bags and i know i should get more sleep but ive been having lots of homework and stuff and i havent really gotten to bed early lately... but anyways my question is:

can hemorrhoid cream really make the bags under your eyes go away?

Hi!

I have heard that this is true...

There are other things you can do too... They say that cold cucumbers also work, and so does cold (wet) tea bags.

Also, there are plenty of creams out there that will help with the bags under the eyes... Saint Ives has an eye/face stress gel that gets rid of eye puffiness. I think Loreal has a great eye cream too. Both do wonders for getting rid of bad eye bags. You should head to Walgreens and check out all the brands they have for this problem...

Here is the St. Ives gel I was talking about...

You can get it for about $4.00. And I read that is was rated number four out of ten in top eye creams/gels.

The below website has the eye cream rating that I was talking about. Mary Kay seems to have the best eye creams (I have tried their Triple-Action Eye Enhancer cream before), but I find them highly expensive for the amount of product you are getting.

Of course... the best way to get rid of puffy eyes is to get proper rest!
;)

Sleep well...

Hemorrhoid cream will just build up the impurities under your eyes. It may work one day but will make things even worse the next.

A quick and easy solution is using slices of raw potatoes.

To Make:

1. Slice 1/4 potato to fit over your eyes.

2. Cut 2 slices or, if you prefer, 5 to 10 very thin slices, several for each eye. Either method works.

To Use:

1. Spritz eye area with water.

2. Lying down, place the potato slices on your eyelids and leave in place for at least 10 minutes for best results.

Best of luck and don't take any crap from nobody!

healthy diet, exercise, drink more water, sleep well. Should be okay. Do you wear glasses by any chance? No sarcasm! No joke. I've noticed my sister who's worn glasses ever since she was little having dark circles under her eyes and my mum who also wears them having them too so it could be related. No joke. It's not funny. I'm just wondering if wearing glasses and having dark circles under eyes are related in some way. Is it coz the sunlight doesnt get under there and then your skin tone and the bit avoiding the sun under eyes start to differ. I've thought of it for some time now.

I've never tried it, but I also heard that hemorrhoid cream will help bags under the eyes. It won't make them go away, but will minimize them. Another trick I heard is to take used tea bags and put them on your eyes (the astringent quality of tea will help reduce the puffiness). Just make sure you don't get these things IN your eyes!

if you have them all the time and your fam does then it's probably genetic and can't be taken away by those simple methods. UNFORTUNETLEY b/c i have been battleing this problem all my life and it makes me cry! ive tried creams and all that....i;m just waiting for a miricle cream, and if there is no creams that help i am hopeing that some cosmetic procedure can because thats how self conscious it makes me.

right now i am looking for creams containing hydroquortine and vit. K...i have read a lot about these helping with dark puffy circles. let me know if you find anything good!

Listen, there is no substitute for sleep. The only problem is NOT bags under your eyes. Sleep deprivation can kill faster than lack of food. People don't realize how important it is to get some good sleep every night.

And lay off the coffee and anything else with caffeine. Drink plenty of water and EXERCISE.

It does not work

Try splashing ice cold water on your face for a few minutes.

If the bags are really bad - only surgery will remove them

first put something cold on them for 2 minutes in the morning then if the bags are dark put concealer on them, use a little eyeliner too :D

I tried it and it didn't work for me. Sometimes they are just hereditary and your stuck with them...like me.. I have read more than once, that either cold cucumber or potatoe slices also work.
