Is it a good academic school? or is it more like a safety school?
I'm planning on going there but dont have many opinons about it besides what i can read off of their website, and who knows what is true.
Also, dose it have a good science program?
Would it be a school that people(employers) wouldnt be impressed with at all?

UConn is a decent state school. There are better ones (Berkeley, Virginia, Michigan, UNC, Wisconsin).
Look at the US News & World Reports web site to see their ranking.

i don't know if it has a good dose
but it is quite connecticutish
