Was is considered Common stock shares, or just a Capital share? Also was there a (par) issued to shares back then?

The big thing then was radio stock, which was the tech stock of the day. One radio stock got up to like $420 a share just before the crash when you could have bought a model-T for $500 around the same time.

Both Common and Preferred stocks exchanged hands back in the '20s just like they do today.
