i have white mice bought from a store and gray mice caught from inside my home. i was wondering if they will inter breed? or if theres a differnce to where they cant. (they are both the same size)

oh we are trying to breed them for snake food! $12 every week for food for my hubbys corn snake gets expencive!

The only difference is color. And that the ones you bought are tame and the others are wild. If you have a male and a female, they will breed as long as the female is ready.

When you allow small rodents to breed, you end up with many, many, many small rodents. Mice can reproduce every 21 days. Be very careful! I suspect the store mice and the gray mice can interbreed, but do you really want dozens of mice?

You do need to be careful because the "wild" one may have diseases and they might not be happy together then again they may. But the mouse you bought was born and raise to be a "pet" mouse the other wasn't.

The color shouldn't make any difference. It would be like having a white cat and a grey cat, they will still interbreed even though they're different colors.

why would you want to breed them anyways, i say get a trap and some cheese. we had a mouse in our basement and i used decon.

YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT THE ONES YOU CATCH IN YOUR HOME!YOU DONT KNOW WHERE THEY CAME FROM OR IF THEY HAVE DISEASES OR RABIES ETC!
