i had a army recruiter call me today anoying the crap out of me to join the reserves and i was like nah i work i dont have time she kept buging and buging me wouldnt take no for a answer and ive been aproached at my school and the mall by them plenty of times.

I totally agree...thankfully, I'm a pretty girly girl so they don't really approach me when they see me. Its pretty sad to think that wearing makeup and heels is such a good deterrent.

But I have many thanks to you all who are in the armed service. Thanks for all that you do...the service is just not something for me.

Recruiters are like salesmen, they lie and trick you in order to join. Yeah, you'll get college funding, if you get an honorable discharge, which only about 40% of the people getting out receive. Don't join the military, especially when Bush is the commander and cheif.

Soilders don't make war, politicians do. Remember that.

Would you get annoyed if they didnt do that to other people so that they can help protect you and our country? Which one is more important? Your feelings or the country? Its about service, not about a few of the population that hates recruiters. Live with it, we need them, and the soldiers. Suck it up buddy. God bless the recruiters! Things like this offend me, dont be so selfish. w/o the army, we would NOT be where we are today!

no ones ever asked me- im homeschooled, plus im a small vegan 5 foot 1 female so i dont think they want me. what does make me mad though is when they try to recruit mainly poor or minority peoples.

Not for me, since I want to join, but I understand their persistence to someone who wishes not to join would be rather irksome.
