Okay, to start with, I am a New Yorker, a caucasion, and of absolutely no arab decent,
nor am I a terrorist in any way, shape or form.

I had to make this point perfectly clear.

Now when our twin towers were struck by hijacked planes, each, and every person involved in the bombings were of Saudi Arabian
ancestry, not to mention the fact that the Saudi Arabian Royal family provided funding to Osama Bin Laden, who is also Saudi.

We as the United States of America have declared war on both Afghanistan and Iraq,
neither of which had in the past or in the future
the capability to attack America. Nor were they havens for terrorist groups until after our invasions. All of these facts are openly available through news media and United Nations reports.

With these facts in mind, why do Americans pay blind Patriotism when the country truly responible for the attacks on America has not even seen the least bit of retribution for thier actions?

Yours Truly,
A Concerned American.

Because fear is a powerful control mechanism. If our own government keeps us on a leash and continues to lead the masses into believing there is an ENEMY- A CONSTANT RISK- A MADMAN ON THE LOOSE ... and they THE GOVERNMENT is the big brother that can protect you... well then of course they will follow!

Most Americans still pay blind patriotism because it's easier to have someone else do the thinking for you!
As infuriating as it is- there are some of us out here who Don't follow blindly!

The Bush and bin Laden families have been friends for decades. Some of the family was in Texas on 9/11, as well as other locations across the country. I THINK the bin Ladens who were in Texas were at the Bush ranch, but I'm not positive. The ONLY plane allowed to fly out of the country on 9/12 had several members of the binLaden family aboard.

I have also failed to understand why we attacked Iraq in retribution for 9/11. They had nothing to do with it that I've ever heard. Granted, Saddam is a very evil man, he needed to be deposed, but why did we use 9/11 as a reason for that, and what gave our country the right to make that decision? The people of Iraq should have been the ones to do that, much as the Americans fought for their freedom in the Revolutionary War, and the same way many, many other countries have done. If the world decided Iraq needed to be attacked, it should have been the decision of the UN to do it, not a unilateral decision by the US and Britain. The entire world was against it.

As far as Afghanistan is concerned, my understanding is we attacked them because we had evidence that Osama was there. Why didn't we pursue that whole-heartedly instead of concentrating on Saddam?

The only conclusion I can draw is because of the oil in Iraq. Look at our oil prices now. What family is heavily involved in oil? Did I hear someone say "Bush"?

Well, I could complain and make bitter statements in reference to this subject for a long time, but I suppose I've said enough to get my point across.

You are very perceptive for an american, most of the rest of the world agrees with you which is why Bush found it so hard to get any major accomplices for his adventures except for the most hated man in Britain , Blair.
9/11 was a big shock to the americans but a lot of people thought that it was time that they received a taste of their own medicine.
During the IRA bombing campaign in Britain during the 1970s,80s and 90s, their major support came from america especially New York and Boston.
Their usual weapon for shooting British policemen was the american Armalite rifle.
If a terrorist suspect managed to flee to the USA it was virtually impossible for the British government to have him extradited.
All of this was well known to the american government, FBI and CIA as financial support for the IRA was openly encouraged at such events as the St. Patrick's Day parade in New York
But nothing was ever done to stop it until 9/11. Very strange.

The one thing that will always work in the favor of any political leader: a common enemy against which to unite the citizens of the country he governs, whether the reasons are justified or unjustified.

There is a lot we have yet to find out about what happened before, on, and after 9/11.

Your question brings to mind the dustjacket photo on Kitty Kelley's book showing Pres. Bush and the Saudi prince walking hand in hand.

people tend to react that thank you to blind terror. you have have been given some information slightly twisted. Bin weighted down grow to be born in Saudi Arabia around 1957 to a father of Yemeni origins and a Syrian mom. His father, Mohammed bin weighted down, based a shape employer and with royal patronage grew to become a billionaire. the employer's connections gained it such substantial commissions as rebuilding mosques interior the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. n 1990, in accordance with the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, the Saudi government allowed American troops to be stationed in Saudi Arabia. Bin weighted down grow to be incensed that non-believers (American infantrymen) have been stationed interior the birthplace of Islam. He additionally charged the Saudi regime with deviating from actual Islam. Bin weighted down grow to be expelled from Saudi Arabia in 1991 via fact of his anti-government activities. He finally wound up in Sudan, the place he worked with Egyptian radical communities in exile. That grow to be the initiating of Al-Quaida and all that crap. a lot of Saudis have been and are in settlement with Bin weighted down. which would be why many of the hijackers have been Saudi......... it fairly is exciting too that GW and GHW Bush the two are very close in my opinion and economically to the Saudi Royals. besides the shown fact that it does no longer stick to that the full usa of Saudi Arabia is at fault for 9/11 and could be attacked via fact some ppl from there did the mass murders. NOR did it stick to that we could continually attack Iraq and contain ourselves in a mindless conflict wherein we are becoming to be terrorists of a usa.

Where in the world have you been hiding for the past 2 years? There are people who are patriotic who do not think we should be in Iraq. However 100% of Americans support our troops.

You do not sound like a "concerned American"....you sound like an American who is waaaay out of touch.

I don't agree with the war in Iraq. But that doesn't mean I won't support the troops who are fighting for their country. They believe in America and that is why they are there. I may not agree with it, but I would never stop supporting them.
