You sound like someone who likes the thrill of the moment. In truth you would be bored with that type of work and would soon want something else to do. Advice - Slow down and take a good look at yourself and what you want to do when you grow up and get ready to face the hardships of the real world.

How embarrassing that you would admit that. I suppose we know who wears the pants. I told my wife to check this out and she told me not to write this. Well you're reading it. If you don't do everything she tells you not to do the you'll never get to do anything but stand around at the mall and visit the in laws. Dang man! Next thing you know her whole family will be telling you how you're going to live your own life.

Just for the record, 'let me'? Really, that is so irritating. my husband has implied that he let me, and he knows not to use that term on me EVER.

The reason for that is because she won't understand what you want to do for a living, and if you change your career for something that she feels *safe* or *appropiate*, sooner or later you'll regret not pursuing your carreer, and probably just blame her..

Do whatever you want to do. If you don't do it - it doesn't mean that there is just going to be an end to that type of work.
Why not let it be you?
If you want to do something that dangerous - go for it....other dangerous jobs are: firemen, policemen, race car drivers, astronauts, etc........
