but at what point will we step up and take care of our own? Should we send aid to the nations that revile us and would love to see us dead before sending aid to our own homeless or unemployed or disaster victims?

We have to do both. My husband and I support charities that aid people here in the US, as well as those that aid people in other countries. We believe God has blessed us and wants us to share our blessings with others. I don't see why we can't extend a helping hand to all people, wherever they may live. God bless!
