Satan (the Devil) is indeed the source of all evil, but if you believe in the War of Heaven, then it was God who had originally created the angels and had given some of them free will. Those whom he gave free will eventually betrayed him and fell to become devils and demons. So did God intentionally mean for Satan to fall?

You Said:
Who is the true source of evil? Satan...or GOD?

To which I replied:
The true source of evil is the mind of man.

This question as really bugged me for a long time...

If God really is omnipotent, and he can see all that was, is and will be, then couldn't he foresee the fall of Satan? and have done something to stop it if it really was such a bad thing?

And if he really was the source of everything, then the Devil came from him and wouldn't that mean that evil is a part of God as well? And if God has evil then everything that he created from himself (and it must have come from him, because nothing comes from nothing) must have evil in it, meaning everything is a little evil, from puppies to babys to harmless flowers.

If God has the power to do anything and nothing is more powerful then him, how come he hasn't been able to just do away with Satan? You would think he could just snap his fingers and destroy something like he creates?

I guess I really haven't answered your question just raised more... I think this is a question that no one can answer except God Himself.

I think that the whole Idea of God and the bible and satan have a lot of contradictions. If God supposedly knows everything then he obviously knew that satan was going to fall, knew that people are evil and good....and if he does exist thens he's one sick puppy for playing us all like puppets.

hmmm. . . Since God is said to be omnipotent and all knowing. . . does God intentionally mean for mankind to fall? Mankind is supposed to be one of God's creations and has been given free will. Maybe God was aware of the possibility of betrayal but having given the gift of free will had no choice but to wait and see what would happen. I wonder what will happen with us. . .

first, all angels have free will. you can't love without free will. the first sin was PRIDE, Satan loved himself more then God & thought he could take his place. We are born with that same sinful selfish heart because of the fall (Adam & Eve). We are born with the evil in side us but we have free will to follow God or our own sinful heart.

Man is the true source of evil.
Man created god in his own image.
No other inhabitant of this planet recognizes or
perpetuates evil.
Man created Satan.
Man created Santa.
Man is a MANipulator.

The answer to your question is Neither. Mythological beings cannot, in reality, be evil. Man, who creates myth as well as reality, is the source of evil.

Your use of the word "perceived" is needed for that reason. Evil does not exist using fact A Divine, Loving, sensible writer might desire to no longer create something in assessment to Itself. sturdy creates sturdy and our writer has no opposite. Evil is basically part of our dream which we discover as genuine. no longer something interior the dream is genuine - in spite of the shown fact that it form of feels so, so genuine. Enlightenment can no longer come as long as we hang to the ideals in unreality.

it was not His intent to have Satan (the resister) to mislead the humans or cause other evil things to occur.
