I have been using Bearshare for like 4 years and its gone downhill. It's messing up my computer and wont download stfuff anymore. I read the other question like this, and most people seem to say Limewire. For those of you who are good with computers, can you give me reasons why each program is better than another. I want one that is easy to navigate and can find just about anything.

emule. No ads, no malware, no prob. It works with different kinds of nets. The two basics are the Kad network (which works with the Kademlia P2P overlay protocol), and the other is the servers net, which you can actually choose (or use a server.met file, available over the web - just google it!). In emule you can find almost anything you want, ranging from files or documents -books included too- to music and video.

Limewire (pro, or not) it's ok when you are searching for popular and common stuff, specially music. But don't push it further, you won't find anything else.

Kazaa, Imesh and others are filled up with tons of ads you don't want, and you won't get rid of them easily. So, don't!

Of course, it's a tricky thing the fact that downloading ain't a crime, but making protected materials available over the web, that means, sharing, well... that is illegal. So, do what you think suits you the best =)

Limewire is good, all you do is type in the name of a song or artist and it brings up a list that you can choose from. You can choose a download by size, file type, or quality. Its nice. Its what i use.
