Keep it safe and warm in a cage or something and put some sand.

First of all, he has to have a source of heat to lay on or he won't be able to digest his food properly. We had an iguana that died cuz we didn't know to get a heat rock for him.

He's used to a hot climate, he's a reptile, so remember to provide that heat. I think we fed our iguana lettuce and the food at the pet store. It's been so many years ago I can't really remember anything except the heat rock.

Good Luck}}

It sounds like it might be a green anole. It's VERY important to properly identify it as soon as possible, because species differ greatly in care and diet. If it is an anole, too much heat can actually be bad for them. They usually thrive on the warmer end of room temperature. They are also generally strct carnivores. Try to post pics, or find field guides and identify him first. But check out green anoles. I'd bet money that's what it is.

Release it, you should never remove a wild animal from its natural habitat.

give it lots of heat but never use a heating rock/pad as these may burn his delicate skin (even an adults!) and give him a good diet depending on the kind of lizard you have!
