Five whites, five blacks, five Asians, and five Latinos. I've already heard talk of racism, but the producers, being typical producers, deny it all and move merrily along. Personally, I think it's going to take more than this to reignite interest in the show (fewer episodes, for one thing).

I'll always have some interest in the show myself. But they can't expect to play fast and loose with viewers' emotions and not have consequences.

I tend to agree with waiting to pass judgement on it and I seriously doubt they are out to promote segregation. I think they have faith in the viewers that we will still cheer on people who we can support because of their character. I do expect original tribe mates to stick together to some extent as I also expect original tribe mates to turn on each other when they think it will benefit them most. From all the tribes.I also expect to find one person I hope gets voted off immediately just because I do not care for how they interact with the others. The color of our skin while we all can see it really shouldn't effect how we percieve people's characters. Most people are smart enough to know this show will eventually be an everyperson for themselves situation and alliances from all four original tribes with each other.I actually think that the participants are sharp enough to understand how closely their interactions will be watched and used to either bash the show or promote it.Basically, I expect nothing more than another season of Survivor. Will some players not like each other? Yes. If it happens to be people of different races that dislike each other does that means something more than two individuals do not like each other? No.

I'll be watching -- no different than when they grouped the men vs the women a few years ago ... although that was boring ... it was much better when the teams are mixed up a bit with all ages, and backgrounds gender etc.

I'm looking forward to it -- I think it will be a good show and I don't have any problem with having people ban together with people they have similar cultural background with.

I like the idea.

I think it is a little controversial as the public willhave to have a bit of angst about it and comment one way or another ... but I see nothing wrong with people of like background and culture, banning together and trying to outwit, outlast, outplay....
It should be taken in the spirit it was intended.... it's ok to be different and to acknowledge and celebrate our cultural differences.

Expect the unexpected.

I saw a commercial for it a few minutes ago and it sail it's the most extreme social experiment they've tried yet. The races/ nationalities will not be separated, IE whites will begin the game together, blacks together, and so on. It should be interesting, but it will surely end with some kind of crap. Just think about what a risk CBS is taking by letting each group eliminate its own kind (respectively) and then the strongest members of each group will be put together and then eliminated until the strongest/ craftiest/ most underhanded one is left!

I was just reading about it on Yahoo News. It's gonna be pretty interesting. I don't think they did just to "segregate". It's just like the producer said: it's a social test. And it will definitely bring out the best and the worst in people as the competition stiffens.

The problem is is that they can't come up with any new ideas. The show has been on for 13 years now and all of the good ideas have already been used.

Obviously the idea is to make racism the plot device. Probably they will manipulate things to present the appearance of a social experiment, and the conclusion will be rigged to show individuals transcend race. Big deal.

For the next Survivor - I think they should make people work a minimum wage job and try to make ends meet. The last person left who can "take it" should get the million dollars!

What is wrong with everyone? What do we have 15 "people"?
If the old world and ignornant think this is some sort of segregation then I pity them.
Survivor has been a great show that I personally watch. "Never" has it been between white, black or otherwise.
Wake up and grow up.
Survivors, ready!!!!

i think of its large, survivor is the superb social experment so we could see who the weakest race is mentally and bodily. bigg youre an fool, now in the event that they had a coach like this on wager the place they did this you wouldnt have a project suited? omg you human beings are such pansy losers, its in basic terms a television coach. we could take bets on who will win the main annoying circumstances.
