I work in a really nice financial planning firm where everyone wears suits, dress pants or dresses. I was going to wear my black skirt with black shoes and sheer black pantyhose tomorrow. But I know that there were some rules about how you aren't supposed to wear them until after Labor Day, but a lot of the Labor Day rules have been thrown out. So is it ok to do that? I really don't want to go back to wal-mart at 10:30 pm.

I was reading InStyle magazine today and they said that black pantyhose with black shoes are going to be a big trend for fall.

You can wear whatever you want, the only thing I would reconsider is black pantyhose in the Summer, Fall and Winter yes, but not when it is hot. Someone might think you're in mourning. And the rule "no white before End of May and no white after Labour Day:" thank God is over.

I don't know about the white after Memorial day/Labor day rules anymore. Honestly, I just don't wear pantyhose, even in the winter. Do you have to wear pantyhose? Even with a suit, I go without. It is much more comfortable.

Too much black. I suggest you go back to Walmart and get a pair pantyhose the color that mach your legs.You will be surprised with the end result.

i would suggest to wear a skin toned color. it would be WAY to much black all together and it will look like one big blob. White after labor day and before memorial day is still alive so NO white!

you can wear them, dont htink there is a rule about labor day and black shoes, the rule is in reference to white shoes and how one shouldn't wear them after labor day.
