try wikipedia, but if your teacher doesn't like wiki, use it as a jumping off point but don't cite it. use the links at the bottom of each wiki article. very useful.

Our school calls them ancient civilization vallies, like Indus River Valley, Nile River Valley . Try searching for them that way.

i use wikipedia.org on all my ancient civilization projects and i ALWAYS find what i need. Give that a try and see what you can find.
