I agree with you. A lot of people are getting heavier and more lazy then ever. When I was growing up we were outside all the time and now you see kids and parents in the house all day/night like there is some type of disease outside. Plus you hear more about new medicines coming out to help people with depression but I think if we all get off our butts we might just be happier with ourselves and life in general.
Take care.

no, not at all. I usually tend to see only the happy part in people.
Perhaps you should stop watching TV and reading news for a few weeks. You'll see how that changes your whole perception. Just because...the news they report are always negative. So - stay away from this a bit and check whether you still see sad people.

I've been depressed since 5th grade and at school when people did their, I Am Poems they were all sad and I started crying when I wrote mine. I'm a sophmore now. I can understand when people can't live up to societies 'standards', never met their father and sees so much suffering in the world...

If everyone is sad its becaused they have realized that we are not fighting a war against terrorism, but a war to appease political figures, never a good place to be if your not gaining. That were not is evident; longer work hours and fuel inflation is putting everyone down. Deffinately not a kinder, gentler world. I don't share your miasma having quit working two years ago in disgust. A heartening note, it doesn't last.

With everything going on in the world these days, it's no wonder., everyone is sad. I won't listen to the news hardly anymore, because it's all about sadness, death and destruction. There's nothing happy about war and seeing our troops have to go over there, no matter what anyone thinks if we should be at war or not. It's very sad indeed.

I agree with u totally...think about it, after 9/11, hurricanes in New Orleans, high gas prices, war and violence, people just don't have much 2 b happy about anymore.
Hopefully, we can get together as a people one day, with no boundaries such as race, sex, and class to try to fix it...

Because people don't care for each other anymore. They think very individualistic. They like to have more materials things and money. They work hard to get this stuff and they don't have spiritual goals.

Not at all. The people I saw today had smiles on their faces. One lady I heard talking had a smile in her voice. I guess it depends on where you're looking.
