it lets me go on the computer for a little while then without a warning these lines appear on the screen and i cant dont anything to it and i have to hold the pwr button to turn off and restart i dont whats causing this i have only had my computer for 1 month and its under warranty i think it can me the video card any help???

It's Possible, and it's possible the video driver is corrupted, it's under warranty, take it back immediatly, and make them fix it correctly, it could even be the display unit going bad ( screen itself ). Instead of going through the headaches of trying to troubleshoot or repair, let them earn their money....

Could be a video driver fault,
try re-installing video driver from support disks or download from toshiba here

That's if you cant be bothered waiting for 3 hours while some idiot on the phone wants everything from your shoe size to the type of toilet paper youuse before picking it up.

Return it for a warranty repair right away. It could be video or a loose cable, anything.
