besides the usual plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, serving/cooking utensils, pots, pans, bakeware blender, microwave am I missing anything?

You need a mixer, and mixing bowls, glasses. You should have a pitcher for tea or lemon ade. pot holders and kitchen towels.

Tupperware. You can't have enough tupperware.
Food processor. Trivets or hot pads. Crock pot.
