I'd really like to have twins and I have done a lot of research to find out that taking a Wild Yam suppliment can help in overovulation. does anyone have any experience with this?

wild yam is supposed to help produce fraternal twins because extra progesterone just before and during the time you ovulate can cause your body to not release the egg (it may hold it in your overy till next month when two would be released)

so if you wanted to try it you would do one month on one month off and have sex during ovulation on the off months

note that is has not been proven to work with suppliments only in cultures where wild yams are eaten as part of the regular diet...

Wild yam will do nothing to ensure twins. To do that, you would have to release two eggs that get fertilized, or you would have to release one egg that gets fertilized and then divides into two fetuses. Wild yam will not affect either situation.

By the way, identical twins tend to run in families, so if you have them in your family, you could luck out.

Dont use herbs especially when tryign to become pregnant. Herbs are not regulated and are like taking a ticking time bomb, you are not sure what you are getting in them!

You would not want to harm your baby!

Talk with your doctor before taking any herbs - especially if you are trying to get pregnant, or are pregnant. There could be damaging side effects.
