i see no point in that. you're about to see a woman/man strip when in a couple of days you're about to get married and go on a honeymoon. i don't understand that. can someone please tell me why married couples do that?

Its not about strippers! Neither my husband or I had one. Its about going out and celebrating with your friends! Its about yelling to the world you are getting married the next day! Its about the excitement!

I never truly understood the concept either. The bachlorette parties I have been to seem to be more for the bridesmaids and friends rather that the bride to be. Usually the bride to be would rather be at home or with her fiance. I've often thought that the women and men who want to have such parties are insecure about getting married. I could be wrong but, that's opinion. God bless!

Not all before marriage parties involve strippers for not a requirement. The purpose of these parties is to have last celebration-last party as a single person-sort of transition tradition. Supposed to be a fun way of closing th door on being single

Darn good question.

Why do the "friends" of the bride/groom try to get them to do things that will embarrass them later or damage the marriage before it starts? It makes no sense to me. Real friends would protect the bride and groom.

I do think that a party of some sort is in order. It would be great if the groom and his friends and male relatives could bond with the male friends and male relatives of the bride. The inverse would be great too.

It's your last chance to do those things that you'll never be able to do again once you're married. You get to drink, you get to have fun, and you get to throw all your worries out the window. Once you're married, you'll have obligations, and those parties won't come along that often.

It is also, of course, a chance to celebrate that you're getting married with just your closest friends.

It's to celebrate the last day of being a free man or woman , because Its a new life they are starting with a partner.

Married couples don't do it, people about to get married do it.

It's suppose to represent the last time they engage in such activities. It's kinda like the "Last Dance" before the lifetime commitment.

For men its the last chance to try to talk the groom out of jumping into that bottomless pit. Also to get drunk and have a few laughs.
