I like almost all forms of music. I got this way by playing “20,” a radio game I made up as a kid. I would start with my favorite station, and tune in the next station up on the dial. No matter what music or talk was on that station, I would refuse to change it for 20 minutes. I would then tune in the next higher station and so-on until I got back to my favorite station (usually a couple days later).
I soon found that I had a favorite song in almost every era and genre. I was also well informed, musically, and this helped me associate with a wider variety of people. Try it, you may like it.

Listen other band and your favorite bands. You should listen to Good Charlotte, All Americans Reject, Simple Plan, Sum 41, Sugarcult, The Offspring, Hoobastank, and Story of the Year. They are very good. Believe me.

Both! Keep listening to what you like, and be open to hearing new types of music and bands. You never know when you might discover a new one to add to your favorites.

People will tell you junk like "explore" and open "new doors," but I like 80's music, and select bands from then. I listen to the songs by those bands and stay with in the era.

Depends on what you like. If you think you'll like new stuff, go with it, if not don't. I'm not saying be closed minded, but why stop listening to your favorite stuff. Or why not both.

Try out different ones, as you could find a new favourite.
Suggestions? Well, it depends on what geres you like. Elemeno P is good (I like the song 'Verona'), as is Muse, Portishead, TATU, Rammestein, Moby, Dubstar, and tons of others. ^-^
