Before using any chemicals (hairspray, alcohol, etc) try taking the pants to a reputable dry cleaner. I am a former dry cleaner manager, and can tell you from experience that chemicals only set the stain in. There are specific ink removers that can be used successfully even after an item has been washed and dried repeatedly. However, most household remedies will prevent the ink removing chemicals from working effectively.

Try to remove the ink stains by placing lemon juice directly onto the spot. Allow it to sit over night before laundering as usual. Repeat if necessary.

For ball point pen ink, I spray with hairspray, then wash. You should be able to see the ink run after spraying, if not re-spray, let sit, then launder. Don't dry until ink is gone. Good luck!

Sorry ! It sounds like the ink has already baked in with the heat. If you would have sprayed hairspray on in first before you washed it and dry ed it maybe that would have worked.

I don't know if it will come out after being washed and dried, but you can try. Try rubbing alcohol or a really cheap hairspray.
Wet and blot, wet and blot. Repete until the stain is gone.
