Snakes can't get permits. Only people can get permits.

Actually it is not the size of the snake, but rather the species. Some pet stores sell some pretty good sized boa's or python's, but you generally only need to get a permit if the snake is poisonous (such as a spitting cobra).

It does depend on where you are living. Contact a local exotic animal shop. They have to have special licenses for their animals & should be able to give you all the info you need to license your snake.

You must get permits for all snakes native to the state you are in. I have two cali kings I bought here in cali and the pet store gave me their permit number. I bought a cali king in MN and he didn't need a permit number. You must have permit numbers if you paln to own, breed, and sell any snake native to where you live.

It varies. I think where I live 14 feet is the max legal size without permits, but I'm nto really sure. It depends on your state/city ordinances.

In Pa. , no permits are required unless you're interested in keeping hot herps. Then the permit is for the specific type of herp., size doesn't matter.

a permit for what? to bite someone? Just kiddin'

It depends on your local laws and pet regulations. Check with your local city hall or your local animal shelter. One of those two places would have your answer.

Just keep that snake outta my town, please!!!!! LOL}}}}

It all depends on the state you live in and possibly the county and city. This is best answered by your local shelter or licensing agency.
