Ok i got my navel pierced June 30 a couple pf weeks ago, and i had had it pierced before and the reason it didnt work the first time was because of this bump thing i guess a keloid, but could it have been cause when i took the ring out it seemed like within a week the whole bump and gooky stuff was gone. But ok back to the present, i have the same bump AGAIN and i want to know what should i use to get rid of this and how long will it take? Thanks

Some people Keloid, well other's don't. If you do keloid, there's nothing much you can do about it. It's usually people of colour, and Northern European people that keloid, and the includes me, and my family. I just call them my battle scars ~

I have a similar problem, but mine is on my chest -and it is growing.

I researched on the net and with our company doctor.

Here me:

Some people are Keloid-prone. I am.

"Treatments" (removal)

1) surgery (laser or not) + ointment

2) ointment

3) injectable formula (ask your doctor or dermatologist)
+ ointment

Those are it. =)

Too expensive for me. So, I just learn to live with it. =)

Good luck. BEE well

there is a keloid and hypertropic scarring.....is it possible this is a build up of scar tissue from constant banging around or if your having it pierced w/ a ring it could be too much pressure.

Unless you get surgery you are stuck with it. I keloid too. At least you are lucky it's on your navel where you can hide it.

Have them use a bigger needle and pierce it again, the bigger needle(piercing needle) will take the lump out
