homonyms are words that sound the same, but have differnet spellings and meanings. examples:

hat: mat, cat, bat, pat
bag: tag, lag, sag
am: bam, ram...not sure on this one; it's all i could think of
has: i can't think of any for this one...sorry
sad: mad, lad, fad
bat: hat, rat, fat
ran: can, fan
sat: same as the ones for bat and hat

silent letters are letters in a word that are silent when the word is pronounced. examples:

subtle: the 'b' is silent
knock: the 'k' is silent
gnome: the 'g' is silent
autumn: the 'n' is silent

Silent letters are just that, they're in words spelling but not pronounced. Example knot -- the k is silent, psalm -- the p is silent. Homonyms are words with same spelling and pronounciation. So homonym for hat is hat, bag=bag etc. They just have different meanings.
