Try half.com. They won't be for free, but close enough.
You could also try zunafish.com. This site lets you trade your old paperbacks for others' used books. You may have some luck there. All you pay is shipping.

Try your local library. Sometimes they sell their old books. I bought a early harry potter for 50c

Well i see them at garage sales and thrift shops. Its not free but darn near. should be about 5cents to $1.
