To avoid having to log off of your screen name and switch users so that you can close all of their programs (by logging them off), I would suggest this easier way:

1. Press "Ctrl," "Alt" "Delete" all at once to pull up the Windows Task Manager.

2. Click on the "Users" tab.

3. Select the User that you would like to log off and then click on the "Logoff" button at the bottom.

It may take a little while for Windows to shut the other User down, but this should work. If it doesn't, I'm sorry I couldn't be of better help (but it should work, just have some patience).

Sign on the Computer with Administrative Privileges, and shut em down, in the appropriate applications. Good Luck

You can log off the other users. Press ctrl-alt-delete and select the users tab. Click on the other users and select logoff.

Log in as that user and shut down that program.

You would need to switch to their user login and then close the application or log them off.

If you log youself off, it should allow you to then select their ID.
