i drafted mike bell in a late round. do you think shanahan will give him a shot at the starting job, or will tatum bell or ron dayne get the nod?
(i know how coach shanahan works, i was a mike anderson owner for two years. what should i expect?)

Okay, Patz, Fantasy Football drafts are my bread and butter and I usually run several teams (last year I had six, the year before that it was eight!), so I can definitely help...
Firstly, Shanahan already announced that Mike Bell is penciled into the starting running back slot, ahead of both Tatum Bell and Ron Dayne. Getting him in a late round was an absolute steal!
Secondly, two of your additional four RBs decidedly do NOT suck! Steven Jackson is the only game in town in St. Louis (Marshall Faulk is a memory now) and can and will produce. In the ESPN Fantasy Draft special the other night, Jackson was the 8th RB taken in the draft (a 1st rounder)... T.J. Duckett was another bargain, especially now that he's been traded to Washington. That trade was necessitated by the shoulder injury to Clinton Portis. The guy in your draft who lorded it over you that he got Portis will be crying when Portis misses most of the season after shoulder surgery -- mark my words, mon ami, I live in the DC area and I have some inside sources. Duckett will immediately become the starting back in Washington if/when Portis goes down (and stays down) and even if by some miracle Portis was able to play the full season, Duckett will get the money carries on the goal line -- and that, amigo, is where the real fantasy points are made!
I'd have to see the rest of your team to tell you how good your overall draft was but you are far more secure at the running back position than you realize. Be patient, grasshopper. Watch and wait.

The Broncos could have signed Shaun Alexander. yet via fact that they waited too long, they're going to could wait till the low season to get a first rate RB. i could propose drafting one on the 1st day. Shannahan's ego has have been given interior the way of him drafting and coming up a stable RB. He had Clinton Portis, yet gave him up via fact he concept Portis grow to be a fabricated from his gadget. via fact that then, he has long handed by using such a lot of RB's it fairly is pathetic. I say they do what they are able to with what they have and watch for next season. besides, with that protection, they are unlikely very some distance besides.

M. Bell was actually moved to the top of the depth chart the other day so if the season started today. He would be your starter, but dont' count Tatum out. He is a stud too. I look for a RBBC again this year which is why I am staying away from all Denver RB's.

It doesn't matter because by cutting into each other's value, they will be too inconsistent to start on any fantasy roster. Both are only usable as backup RBs.
Perhaps you should look to trade Mike Bell. I will stay away from all Denver backs as long as Shanahan is the head coach.

No one really knows. If Tatum Bell starts he will only get like 17 carries so its not a bad pick if it was a late round. Why they think Mike Bell should start i really don't know, only time will tell, I guess.

You know what to expect if you (like me) had Mike the marine.
Runningback by Committee. The 'starter' last year was who? Mike had the TDs but Tatum had the yards.
I think this year it will be worse with all 3 sharing touches

mike bell will get the nod. also, dayne is now the 3rd back and is losing momentum as i type, so he's not the greatest choice. mike bell wll be a great player soon, but don't put too much trust in him unless your other rbs suck, or he becomes a good plyer and you are certain he is the best choice.

man, i think that Mike Bell did fantastic in the preseason game against tenesee. He was running ppl over and everything. i think that If he has another good game, and he proves to shanny that he is a proven bruising runner, he will get the starting gig.
