It probably doesn't really "matter" (don't judge a book by its cover) in the overall scheme of things, but it can certainly make a difference to how an individual is perceived by others.

Yes you can't dress like a butcher to apply for a job in wall street and you can't wear a business suit to get a job at the grocer's

Yes, a person's hygiene and the appopriateness of their clothes matters. The brand names do not. Also, spelling matters a great deal. It's appearance.

yes it does. It also matters your body language. If you're in a job interview, you want to take up as much spave as possible, so you dont seem so tiny ect.

Yes. For example, if they dress like a gang-banger, act like a gang-banger, and talk like a gang-banger, expect to get treated like one. It's NOT racist, and it's NOT profiling. You will ALWAYS be judged by how (and with who) you present yourself to the rest of society.

Yes! For example, I love my cousin's son....but he dresses like a rapper/gang member........if I didn;t know him - I would cross the street to avoid him!
