I agree that there needs to be a change and there will be. It may take some time but it will happen there are still people who feel that women are incompetent and that blacks don't deserve any respect but that won't last forever b/c neither of those two things are true so give it time and you will see change.

We don't see women American presidents because most of the nation is made up of conservative, racist misogynists who would rather let a complete moron like Bush run our country. They're just too scared to entrust it to "second-class citizens" like us women. No matter how you look at it, the white man (no offense to you) has it the best here.

Where the hell does it say women cannot be the President in the Constitution!?! Of COURSE women are allowed to! If Chile can have a woman president (Michelle Bachelet), then why can't the US have one?

This is an interesting topic you've brought up because in my World History class, we had a discussion about whether we'd see an African American president first or a female president first. We haven't had either because of the aforementioned reasons (racism, both considered second-class citizens, etc.).

Who is in charge..... ummmm...... monkeys, apparently. Then again, I feel bad for comparing dumb*sses like Bush and Cheney to monkeys because monkeys can be rather cute. ^-^

OH! And also, presidents only make about $400,000 a year. So, if your main goal in life is to make money, don't become president. You can do so much better. Hell, many more women make more money than Bush. HA!

We are allowed to have women and "black" people but Most people running for office are men. Men are genetically meant to be leaders also so I think it is better. A "black president wouldn't be bad at all, but I haven't seen an election between anyone and someone dark skinned yet. I am not at voting age yet but I don't discriminate by color, I discriminate by what they would do for America.

Don't you know they say that behind every great man is a great women. This is because the woman are telling the man how to handle the issues anyway. I agree why not just give her the title?

People are are afraid of change and of what they don't understand. The country is so used to having things run by certain people and a certain way that they aren't so ready to accept the new.Nothing in the constitution states a certain sex or race cannot lead..the only thing that it states is that we are supposed to be free.

So why do you want to discriminate against white men?
On the practical side: would it be right to have someone who is ineligible for the draft in any war situation commanding men who are liable to be conscripted?
