I looked under system tools. Backing up files is not on the list. Can someone tell me how to do it?

Yes you have the backup program, it's on the OS CD under
Click Browse this CD.
In Windows Explorer, double-click the ValueAdd folder, then Msft, and then Ntbackup.
Double-click Ntbackup.msi to install the Backup utility.
