It is brown, 100% polyester, and says "dry clean only." This is going to sound gross, but the gown was tight around my armpit area so now there are white marks and a bit of a smell left. Any way to get it off? :/ It was $70 bucks and so pretty.

The only way to remove the deodorant and smell is to have it professionally dry cleaned. It will only cost a couple bucks. Those at home dry cleaning bags work if you haven't spilled anything on the item and you just need to freshen them up.

Go by what the tag says...it's there for a reason. Dry cleaning is perfectly fine. If you try to do anything else, you could ruin the dress.

Well, then have it dry cleaned. Or hand-wash it in Woollite. Follow the directions on Woollite for soaking and washing. You can get Woollite at the grocery store or Wal-Mart.

You don't wash it, you let a good dry cleaner take care of it. I don't know of any chemicals I would try on my own and trust to the special fabric.

You can go to Wal-Mart and they have these bags that you buy in the laundry department and you put your item of clothing in the bag, and then add something to it, and then pop it in the dryer. Its just like dry cleaning it but cheaper!
