Depending on what you mean by 'fundamentalist'. If you mean someone who cannot accept difference or be tolerant of other faiths, cultures, than no. An Islamic fundamentalist would be in his or her own little world if they lived in America. Can they be a good person? Sure. So can a Jew, a Catholic, a Buddhist, an atheist.
If by 'good Americans' you mean a true patriot, my guess is that. strictly speaking, no - an Islamic fundamentalist would be an unlikely American patriot, waving the flag and defending the American way. It's difficult to imagine. Not impossible, but difficult.

I don't really know what you mean by a good American, let me assume its someone who is productive, patriotic and well-integrated...
the way i see a fundementalist is that its someone who stick to his fundementals(unlike that the negative one the media shows). So, a muslim fundemental is someone who stick to the fundementals of islam from its basic sources, Qur'an and the Teaching of Muhammad. So its going to be evolving around what fundementals muslims have and is it something that we can live with.
The true fundemetals of the main stream islam encourages being productive and additive and it critisize being lazy and dependent. So we are left with patriotism which i think its have to do alot with politics. Nowdays,Alot of muslims and non muslims in America are less patriotic after being ashamed the current US forign policy. I think that a better US forign policy would give Americans, including muslims a better sense of Patriotism.
In short, i would say about all minorities anywhere, educate them, give them equality, and you will get a good feedback.

SURE!! :) All you have to do is find a good, socially acceptable use for them, and I've figured one out:
--Send them ALL to Kansas,
--Seal the borders so nobody gets to *leave* Kansas,
--Routinely air-drop *guns and ammo* into the state,
--Let the Zealots have at it, let the Christian Fundies and the Wahabbi Fundies *tool on* each other, Imagine it as World War III On Pay Per View or something....
--The Benefits? A) We get a Whole State of Warfare and Chaos out in the Armpit of Nowhere to point at and go, "Yep, if you keep being a meth-head or crack-head Menace to Society, we'll send you *here*," and B)....drumroll please, this is the BIG one.....
Whoever survives the mayhem will *most definitely* believe in Darwinian Natural Selection! **ba-dum-ching!!**
