You might want to try a DVD so you can hear it and see it. And get tabs from online or a book if you prefer. Learn chords and just try to play some songs you like that are easy.

theres sites where you can get guitar tabs like www.guitartabs.com and www.guitartabs.cc and you can print the tabs for your favorite songs and play them easily. it shows you what string and fret to play, and its a great way to start to play guitar
