This isn't for school, I only chose the school category because it seemed appropriate for the topic. I'm researching this for a story, and haven't found much in the last couple years. I'm looking for info about what life was like for the people in greece around 1530-1550.

The period you mention is during the time when Greece was part of the Ottoman empire.

The wiki site below might be as good as any for some basic information, but you might want to continue your search for information by googling "Ottoman Greece."

I don't know if this will be your taste in reading, but George Finlay was a 19th century historian who wrote a multi-volume work entitled _History of Greece_. Volume 5, I think, is the volume in which he covered the period in which you are interested. This volume is entitled _Greece under Othoman and Venetian domination. A.D. 1453-1821_. He's pedantic, but there are some great stories in there.

Best wishes!
