If they got new ones it probably has the Intel Chip. Administrative Disk? And they got it FROM school or FOR school? I'd say call the school and see if they have one..if it was from school they probably did this so the kids would browse and do educational things...you can get a program called Boot Camp for a Mac with an Intel Processor. It will run windows on the Mac, but you need a Windows XP installation disk (100 bucks minimum for Home Edition...300 for professional..but only 185 for the pro version at Sams club). But who wants windows? ewww.

You can only use Boot Camp ( http://www.apple.com/bootcamp/ ) on Apple computers with Intel processor, and considering they were given to your kids by your school, I doubt that's the case. (The Apple's with Intel processors are very new and relatively pricey.) Boot Camp is the only way to use any Windows operating system on an Apple computer.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the school that originally had the computers has restrictive account settings that they didn't unlock before passing on the computers. Could you call the school and ask them if they have more information? Did they give you any CDs/Disks or the computer's manual? Those would be the best places to start.

Everything that makes a MAC so virus free, so adept at schools, is what makes the MAC OS so much of a great thing! But, alas, the hardware is NOT something that "Microsoft Windows" is built to operate! It is built for PC X86 hardware!
Any local Apple or Mac shop, or MAC or BSD user group would help you to add the new accounts for your children to play on the system!
And, if you get the original CDroms, then, you can boot and hold
down the "C" key to boot from it, and change the administrative settings.
Windows is so weak, and full of virus, that let porn, trojans, bots, all in! What games are you trying to add? Microsoft ones? You'll want to get MAC games that really are fun and educational!
Millions of us actually convert PCs to Linux or BSD, so they run so fast, safe, and virus free, just like the MACs! http://pclinuxos.com contains 1,900 games and educational programs, applications, is FREE, and runs upto 50X faster than Microsoft virus-magnet!
Hope this helps!

Windows won't work on it. But you can reinstall the original operating system and unlock the controls... Put in the operating system CD and restart. Hold down the C button to boot to computer.
