Yes, I would, wouldn't you? Yes I would want to help take care of him, that is what relationships are all about, in sickness & in health, till death do us part. I think that just about says it all, My Father was in a mine accident, in 1947 my Mother stayed by his side till he departed this life in 1977, she did everything for him, & never complained one time, he was in & out of hospitals time after time, but she hung in there, so I know I would be there for Bob if something like that would happen.

The truth? YES.
In my opinion being in a wheel chair doesn't make you less of a person and doesn't change who you are. If you love this person stand by your man/woman.
Just remember, it could happen to you and if it did would you like your partner to dump you because you were in a wheelchair? The truth now...

No, we would try to remain friends but I would want her life to go on and not be dragged down by my accident, we have discussed it and she feels the same way if it was her that ended up disabled.
I would feel terrible guilt if my partner threw away her life and chance for happiness to care for me after an accident.

yes. It would be difficult in the transition of adjusting but I would be there. I don't have to like how life changed, but it is important to help them help themselves and get through the tougher part of how to live life now. I can't say that I wouldn't think I would be better off leaving but how can you abandon someone who just themselves was abandoned and now are in a wheelchair. You can't do that. It would be selfish and end in regret. you can only live with what you make of your life regardless of handicaps, you give and love.

of course my mom is in a wheelchair and I will never leave her is that supposed to be offensive my mom is totally capable to do chores around the house and she is not lazy just because a person is in a wheelchair does not mean they do nothing on the contrary my mom can do everything. She is less lazy than people that are not in wheelchairs. I am offended by your question.

Of course. If they were a good person, they would still be a good person. If I dumped them just because of an accident, then I would be a bad person.

ABSOLUTELY! No question. Even if in a vegetative state. I would take care of them.
There is more to life than sex. Think of it as a two way ensurance policy: YOu'll take care of each other in sickness and health. I like thinking that if I was in a wheelchair that she would do the same for me. I love her, I care for her, and I will continue to do so forever. I love you JENN!

Yes I would. It would be hard to see them in that state. I think if my partner got a disease and gradually lost their abilities, it would be hard to see them get worse and worse, but, we married for better or worse. Love doesn't end with diagnosis.
