I mean don't get me wrong there has been quite a few good movies that have come out in the last 6/7 years.
P.S.- Pirates 2 was nothing special AT ALL!....it was hack-job. It could have been better. The acting seemed worse and the story was simpl-minded and not well thought. They already started making the 3rd one while they were making the 2nd...money making scheme here we come!!! 1st was so much better..2nd not recommended!! Whats wrong with Depp??!!!??(were are the good movies)

Yes, they are dumb movies, and you forgot to mention a few.
But I am not mad about it, I never go to the movies anyway unless it is REALLY good. And besides, They can release what they want, I am not being forced to watch any of them.

Seems these days theyr'e genre related to childrens movies.
Cause directors KNOW kids are EASY to satisfy. Give a teen
anything gory or weird...they'll go see it. Adults require more
mental stimulation, more of an intellectual challenge. Many they
need better writers in Hollywood. Problem is, it's the old guard.
It's almost impossible for a new screenwriter to get their dream
to come true. I know there are really good scripts out there, that
are being turned down ( cause theyr'e not with the "IN " crowd).
But I want to go see the new Pirattes of the Caribean, I love that
movie. Let's just hope Hollywood pulls their heads out of their
@ss soon !!......lol

They are trying to make a buck since they have done so bad the last couple of years. These movies are cheap, easy, and they know stupid 13 year old girls and boys will go see this crap.
And adults don't seem to be going to the movies as much. But instead of making movies for adults to get them back to the theaters, they'd rather not take the chance and keep the only big audience they have left: preteens.

Just Hollywood trying to recoup some of it's loss on the budget for the films.
You forgot 3000 Miles to Graceland...Kevin Costner and Kurt Russell couldn't save that horrid movie.

Does seem like they are getting worse. I guess were not in their target audience.
The only good movie I've watched this year is Silent Hill.

I'm not mad about it, but the film industry will put anything in theatres for a cheap buck. It doesn't matter how crappy it is. Remember, people have an attention span of nanoseconds and they'll see anything.

I know, I don't even bother to pay to go to the theatre anymore. Id rather sit at home and watch old movies for free.

Whoa - whoa -whoa -whoa -whoa, ok I get that not everybody likes what I like but what is with the major put down on POTC 2 up there on top, huh?! I can dig you don't like it but do you really have to shoot it down like that? Some of us really liked it. I'm Not trying to cause fights here, really. Let's just go a little easy ok?
Yes, there are big dissapointments on the screen, I agree. :(
They're running out of ideas.
