I thot that was seriously unfair to Rooney. I had no problem with him rushing to the ref in support of his Portuguese team instead of Rooney (afterall they were no more club teammates) but his winkign kinda suggested that he had achieved his grand plan to get Rooney sent off. I also suggested he might have discussed trying to get Ronney sent off with the wink. I just isnt fair play.

But they've settled it and they're back as teammates in Man U, but that was very lowly of Ronaldo to have done and he oughta be ashamed of himself.

Of course he was relieved and glad to get rid of Rooney. But I also remembered that he plays for ManU and the English fans there are going to eat him alive. But he didnt get Rooney off, he would have gone anyway. Stamping on an opponents groin is a red card, no doubt.

You may not know this but Rooney recently stuck up for Ronaldo, admitting in an interview that he tried to get Ronaldo off during half time, complaining that he was diving.

That C. Ronaldo was playing the bad side of the game. Every player does it. Diving, time wasting, lying, it's all a part of the game and he played it.

I don't support him but I don't blame him.

At first I was so mad I wanted to nuke him but then I thought hey I’ve seen that wink before and that’s when I realized it’s just this facial tic he has, nothing more. Really.

i thought it was quite unfair to rooney- even though i supported portugal, but i think rooney should learn to control his temper. Especially in front of the referee!

That was compeletly unfair.

I would have RONALDO sent off for that. He should be playing for the Italians with that behaviour

I feared that he was going to go back to England and be executed by firing squad....but he was just impaled by the press, which was just as bad
