I don't think any of us are able to answer your question correctly, so I will suggest that you ask someone who works in the "external laundry" room. I'm sure they could tell you!

Probably external would mean in another building, internal within the building, and on site would mean on the campus or could even mean in the building.

You've got to go somewhere to do your laundry. This can mean out your dorm to another, or to a central laundry area, or to an on-campus private company, or to a laundromat off campus nearby.

To me external would be out of the room, and internal would be inside the room...Hope you find the one that suits you best!

I am guessing that external means that its in a different building than the dorms and internal means that it is in the dorms.
