Easy. Take -1/2 and multiply both numbers by 4 to get -4/8. Then, add -4/8 to 5/8 (negatives cancel) to get 1/8.
The idea is to get both denominators to be the same. In this case you know 2 times 4 = 8, so you can make them both 8's.

-1/2 - (-5/8)
-1/2 + 5/8
-1/2= -4/8
-4/8 + 5/8 = 1/8
There I showed my work (just in case you need it). The answer is 1/8.

-(1/2) -(-5/8)
= -(1/2) + (5/8) (minus minus equals plus)
= -(4/8) + (5/8) (multiplied the numerator and denominator of -1/2 by 4 so that the denominator of both fractions is the same, otherwise they cannot be added)
= (-4 + 5)/8
= 1/8

remove brackets
-1/2+5/8
=(-4+5)/8
=1/8
by simple calculator
1/2 = .5(1 divided by 2)
5/8 = .625(5 divided by 8)
after removing brackets change the position and we get
0.625-.5 =.125
by scietific calculator
Press - 1/2+5/8 = 1/8

This sequence is declared as fibonacci sequence. in this sequence each and each style is the sum of the two numbers previously it a million,a million,2 -> 2=a million+a million a million.a million.2.3 -> 3=2+a million a million,a million,2,3,5-> 5=3+2 so on so the subsequent style is 5+8 = thirteen
