Virtue is always rewarded, and vice punished
This one is easy because it isn't true. It's saying that if you are good then good things will happen to you. Clearly this is not the case since some of the world's nastiest people are extremely rich and happy.
People must find a balance between the conflicting needs for a partner who will always love them, and the desire to always stay true to themselves.
This is about compromise. Relationships cannot function without compromise. IN a good relationship, both persons compromise equally. In an unequal relationship, one person compromises totally and the other not at all. You can use some of the Yahoo Answers post in Singles and Dating to illustrate your answer.
There is always tension between the emotional and intellectual needs of a person.
This is quite hard. It is saying that your head wants one thing and your heart wants another and you have to come to some kind of acceptable balance between them to avoid going crazy.
Hope this helps.

1. An old world virtue that seldom holds up in todays world, but is nonetheless taught in our archaic school system, not appropriately preparing students for the world outside of childhood.
2. Find a partner that will compliment yourself, love varies widely between people and cultures.
3. The human mind is a complex thing, there is not necessarily tension between the two needs as much as there is a lack of harmony.
Now get goin'

Here's something...find out who tainted your teacher, they sound like damaged goods. Hey it is what it is...
as for number one, that is not always true so argue either side of it...
Number 2, this holds true one person in a relationship will always love the other more...what you have to decide is which person you want to be...the lover or the loved.
Number 3...just listen to that song from without a paddle...My minds tellin me no, but my bodys tellin me yes...
But why are these all written as definitive...like thats the way it always is and will be there are exceptions to everything...there isn't always tension between those things...aside you need to write it as if you have experienced it yourself it said a journal entry...like if there is a girl you're crushing on but you know she doesn't like you back...now you can't control the fact you have feelings for her, but your mind knows she doesn't have them for you back...so here is an idea start off with one entry of when you first realize your feelings for them; then end with when you find out those feelings aren't returned...hope it helps. Three seperate entries and spread the dates out, it shouldn't have to be in the present either get creative with the time and place its taken place...corny and all that like World War II in Paris...

1) I would say that virtue gets rewarded just like good deeds do. It is sort of like when you do good things it comes back to you three times better. And when vice is punished you are doing something bad and being punnished for it, (i.e. when you do something bad it comes back to you three times worse)!
2)The second statement is saying you want to find a trusting partner that you love and respect bt you can't let that interfeer with what you want and need in your heart!
3)The third statement means that you have to be ambitious and go after anything and everything your heart desires!
your welcome

I think you should write why you agree with each statement and how it should be true, but then go on to illustrate examples where they aren't always true. (I.e. for #1 put an example where the person who does the write thing isnt rewarded and teh person who does wrong gets away with something without punishment)

these are really good thought provoking questions. If you take a minute to think about these, your answers could be interesting. Don't sell yourself short, this isn't really a "right or wrong answer" sort of paper. Your teacher wants to know where you head's at. Let them know.
