I've heard of this board brand called Atlantis and my friend rides it and says its like the best brand. I tried lookin it up and it doesnt seem to be a popular or good board. Plus they are really expensive.

Atlantis has been making boards for a few years and they are very, very good. They rate very highly in all the reviews and I have personally never heard a bad thing about them from someone who has ridden them. I've ridden one and while I can't remember the model (it was their high-end all mountain board) I do remember that I really, really liked it.
The reason why they don't seem popular is that Atlantis is trying to stay a small, "Core" company. They don't make a ton of boards and they don't sell to the huge retailers. When you buy an Atlantis you are going to buy them from a real snowboard shop from a guy (or girl) who rides.
I'd say, go with the Atlantis as I'm sure you'll get a great ride and you'll have a board that you won't see on the feet of too many riders this winter. Of course, you can't go wrong with the big guys either. Companies like Burton, K2, Rossignol, Santa Cruz and so on make great boards that ride very well....they just aren't quite as cool as the little guys. Another cool "little guy" company that makes great stuff is Endeavor...check 'em out.

atlantis is OG theyv been around for a long while and that last place i remember seeing them was in a mailorder called THE HOUSE check out their website

I have a burton, top of the line and expensive but i love it, also there is ones like spitfire, nitro, head, fox, just to name a few great boards.
Get the best for your money.
