It is called growing up, musically speaking. A person can do this at any age. You are learning to appreciate music. Good for you! There was just a question about how many kinds of music someone should listen to, and some good answers. Check it out.

You are just changing as a person. The music you listen to would not really bother your true friends, although, they may make fun of you because you are different than before.

Maybe your friends are scared that you're "broadening your horizons"? But the question you should be asking yourself is: Do you like the change (or addition) in musical taste? If you do, then it doesn't matter what your friends like or don't like.

it is very catchy and sometimes addicting, this happens to a lot of people. my cousin is a satan worshiper and now he has totally changed into this techno fan, now he has no friends. don't worry do what you like not what your friends like.

Listen to whatever the h*** you want. I think its cool.

It bugs me when people won't listen to something because its not cool, or because its too popular, even when they like it.
