Does it count if you use the laptop everyday for many hours, and the computer gets destroyed-I don't download anything, and I have protection, and I have all my pics on a flash drive.

PS. Is it healthy or can you get sick from using the computer for hours?

You should probably be hanging out with people and going out rather than spending most of your life in front of a computer.

I have used computers intensively at a rate of 4 to 18 hours each day, since 1965, and I am not affected! I fix them, too, while being online with another couple systems, over the past ten years, so I have communications with other systems, wiki power and knowledge, and, my fifth wife is also a bit of a nerd!

The wrist braces I own are really getting funky, from extended use.
But, other than that, and a buzzing and a mild nausea from my eyes starting to fail, I have seen no effects.

I think it is a fair trade-off... Global domination through total technological control of all computer bots, in exchange for a few minutes of daylight lost...a pale complection, weakness in my body...

No, you don't have to worry much about your health. Just like any electronic device, there's EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference), but that's mostly contained within the laptop shell. CRT monitors emit low levels of radiation (none of which is proven to do any real damage), but LCD screens on a laptop do not. So there's nothing to worry about there.

I would worry more about the use of a cell phone next to your head more than I would about a laptop.

I am additcted to the computer, and i don't get sick. So i don't think you can get sick. Like you might get a headace from viewing the screen, but thats all i can see how you would get sick.
