Have a good introduction line. Smile and make good conversation. Ease the conversation towards asking if she'd be interested in getting together another time, then if it seems like a positive answer, make an immediate suggestion of going to something or somewere unique, not too private, and may give you an excellent opportunity for her to see your fun side.

Look nice, act like a gentlemen and treat her like a lady! That means dress just a little better than necessary for the occasion. Bring her flowers, tell her she looks great and hold the door for her! You know, the things your parents tried to teach you! Call her the next day to say thanks for a great date and reevaluate at the time. Girls want manly men, not someone who looks like Anderson Cooper! Get some meat on your bones! Comb your hair, clean you face and stop saying "ya know". Act good and you'll do good!
