I got an answer you'll love that will save you from having to clean the shower as much. After you cleaned the shower, apply car wax to the tiles and buff off. This will greatly slow down the build up of soap scum. To clean heavy build up on the glass on the shower doors, try Brillo or any steel wool pads. It will get rid of that scum off the shower door glass in a flash. Then wipe a thin film of lemon furniture oil or baby oil on the inside of the glass which will keep them sparkling for weeks, repelling water and soap scum. To make the chrome faucets sparkle, use the store brand rubbing alcohol. Note, the alcohol is great for cleaning kitchen and bathroom tiles, but the smell might be a bit much for you. As far as the ring around your toilet, chlid safe bowel cleaner, pour in a can of coke, and let it sit. Believe me it will get rid of that ring. But if you can't wait, and the brush isn't working, plain old scouring powder is the quickest, or even baking soda. I found Lysol Soap Scum Remover to be the best commercial overall cleaner for everything in the bathroom and kitchen. I've cleaned professionally for years, nursing homes, buildings, condos, and offices you name it.

I guess it would depend on the problem as to which cleaner is best. If you have a mold problem in the tile grout tilex mildew root killer is great as well as tilex mold and mildew....but if you have let the problem go too long than the stain will stay. For soap scum kaboom isnt bad, mr clean magic eraser works in some cases. Soap scum is the hardest and if you have let your bathroom go too long there may be nothing you can do. The stains may be permanent. My friend used to have her own cleaning business and she swears by comet, bleach and amonia...but those are heavy chemicals.

I pefer Knights Spray Nine its a very efective cleaner and possibly better than bleach as a germ killer. In my area its about 10 bucks a gallon and is carried by most janitorial supply houses but the easiest and cheapest place is an independent auto parts store

Do your "boys" a favor, once you've figured out how to get their bathroom sparkling - don't let it get out of control. Keep your cleaning products in a bucket right under the sink and USE THEM at least once a week!

Mr. Clean is good. So is simple green. Bleach water where you can. A bathroom really should be cleaned every week or no product will work effectively, also think of the germs.
