First you must obtain a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. (The degree itself doesn't matter.) Then you must be accepted and admitted to law school. THEN you have to get through all 3 years and obtain your JD (Doctor of Jurisprudence degree). After that, you need to pass the Bar exam in your state. Once all of that is done, you must be hired through a rigorous application and interview process.

Pass the bar examination in the state for you want to practice law.

Most state bars also require you to have earned a law degree (juris doctor) from an accredited law school.

you'll have to go to college and get your criminal justice degree then go to law school for like 3 years.
