To Gays, lesbians, and bi's? Our world is at war, but for some that is the worst of their worries. I'm catholic and bi, yet I still walk into God's house feeling loved. Every day goes by faster and faster, more disrupted, and more reckless then ever before. Still no one is trying to slow it down, but instead they are trying to add to the flame fueling the speed more. Why does who a person chooses to love or go to bed with matter? For those of you who have the nerve to say that God hates Gays, Lesbians and even bi's, have you ever thought about why they are the way they are? I know several women that tried to be with men. What happened to them was not just them being unnhappy, but them getting beaten almost to death for a reason that some think is unnatural. I don't want to tell you to think a certain way. That isn't my job, but neither is it yours to tell people what God doesn't approve of. I just wish that one day we can look past our differences. Thanks for reading this.

You really are a great person, I have to agree with what you said! I think you would be able to change a lot of people's ignorance with this. Maybe you should ask this on the religion section of the site? I think it should be more talked about in churches, for people to learn to accept who they are, love who they are, accept people for who they are, and love other people.

Sorry to say this, but people are just assholes. Just for the record, I'm straight and an atheist. I believe that if there truly was a god, then it would have no concern over homosexuality, because the idea of an almighty god fidgeting over something as trivial as sexual preference is nonsense.
But I digress.
On to your question: Why are people so mean to homosexuals?
My answer is because people are narrow-mided bigots. They refuse to accept any type of individuality that they do not agree with. There will always be prejudism in the world, no doubt. However, the best thing to do is to not let it get to you. Let people know that you have the right to live by your own standards and not theirs.
After all, they should be worrying about their own judgement rather than someone else's, right?
Hope my answer has helped.

Hate comes from fear. Those poor people who hate so much are so very afraid of anything that threatens their ideals. Aside from the fact that they can be dangerous, and therefor best avoided, they deserve our compassion too. Imagine being so full of hate and anger. Would you trade places with them?

I don't get it either. I guess we're just a convenient scapegoat to them, and it seems easier to "do something about" us than things like starving children and wars based on ancient hostilities.

darling, please follow the link below and find some inner peace.
I think you'll be pleasantly suprised to know what the Bible REALLY says about gays...and it's NOT all bad!!!
As a matter of fact, it's PEDOPHILES and straights who dabble in gay sex who are the ones sinning.

Very well spoken but the people who hate will play blind and deaf if things don't fit in their world the way they like it..

I don't mean to be offensive in any way when I say this, but there are many gays, lesbians, and bi's who are mean to heterosexuals. Usually to heterosexual men. I think that most people are mean in general, not just to one group of people. It's just like not all white people are mean to blacks but some are, and the flip side to that is there are a lot of black people who are mean to whites. It's just the world we live in, and it irritates me to, so I'm with you.
Just be yourself and be strong.

I don't know. Why were we born like this? Is it our fault. I don't think so but the power to overcome this problem that we have is showing god that you love him more than temptation of the flesh. At least you can be attracted to the opposite sex. I wish every day I could be. I hate myself for this and don't deserve the love of christ.
