The Kinks.

One of the original British Invasion groups of the sixties, they helped usher in a harder, heavier sound than most groups of that time. Songs like "You Really Got Me" and "All Day and All of The Night" helped pave the way for the hard rock to follow.

Had they not been banned from touring the U.S. from 1966 thru 1969, they would have been right up there with The Beatles and Stones in terms of popularity.

Brian Johnson, even though he's not as good as Bon Scott he was the person Bon picked to carry on AC/DC and guess what the first CD with Brian was their best seller so everyone give him some credit.

Dave Mustaine (megadeth)...the man came back from a serious arm injury (doctor told him IF he could ever use his arm again, he wouldn't be able to play guitar) and is still touring, and is better than ever....if you like heavy, fast guitar parts...listen to Dave
