Will someone answer my question? What variables affect the number of eggs a chicken has?

That depends on so much that it really isn't a simple question to answer. First, what breed or variety of chicken? Is it a laying hen, banty, barred rock?? that is the major variable in determining how many eggs any chicken will lay, followed by season, temperature, living conditions, stresses, diet, environment, weather, age etc etc. If you provide more information then the question can be answered more thoroughly.
